committed to supporting Whatcom County employers

This is an incredibly challenging time for businesses and organizations in Whatcom County, and we want to do what we can to support you.

We want to communicate clear expectations and reinforce the message that we are all working together to ensure a healthy and welcoming environment for all. The ultimate goal of this campaign is to keep our community healthy while we build consumer confidence and reopen our economy.

This is not a regulatory process.  This is our community coming together to help each other be safe and feel safe.

If you have any questions about this campaign, please contact us. If you have any technical questions specifically related to COVID-19, please email health@co.whatcom.wa.us.

This county-wide campaign is led by the Whatcom County Health Department and the Port’s Regional Economic Partnership, in collaboration with the Chambers of Commerce, Whatcom County Tourism, and Downtown Business Partnerships, to increase effectiveness of health and safety messaging in businesses and organizations throughout Whatcom County.

Thank you for doing your part to help support a safe and healthy Whatcom County!

A special thanks to the 140 business owners, organizational leaders, and community members who stepped forward to share their time and talent during these unprecedented times as members of the Employer Support Task Force. From May – August, they connected to help support fellow businesses and organizations in Whatcom County. Collectively, their insights created countless tips and tools which are highlighted in the new Tips & Tools page on the campaign website. We look forward to continuing our collective work knowing that our community is Safer Stronger Together.
